Nina Sahraoui es profesora junior en la Universidad de París-Saclay e investigadora principal del proyecto GENDEREDCLIMATEMIG, que investiga los factores ambientales de la migración desde una perspectiva de género. Su investigación se sitúa en la encrucijada de la migración y los estudios de género, y hasta ahora ha abordado cuestiones como el trabajo de cuidados, las fronteras y los límites, el humanitarismo, la atención sanitaria a la maternidad y la violencia de género. Tras dos años de experiencia profesional en la Escuela de Gobernanza y Economía de Rabat (Marruecos), Nina completó su doctorado en la Universidad Metropolitana de Londres en el marco de la red Marie Skłodowska-Curie ITN Changing Employment. A continuación se incorporó al proyecto EU Border Care en el Instituto Universitario Europeo realizando investigaciones en Mayotte (departamento francés de ultramar), así como en Ceuta y Melilla. Otros dos puestos postdoctorales giraron en torno a la violencia de género en contextos migratorios en el marco del proyecto internacional GBV-MIG, primero en la Universidad Nacional de Galway y después en el Centro de Investigaciones Sociológicas y Políticas de París (CRESPPA, CNRS). Por último, Nina finalizó recientemente la beca Marie Skłodowska-Curie CyberGen en el CRESPPA en torno a las experiencias de mujeres de origen marroquí y turco que crecieron en Francia y Alemania.
